Mr. Casey's Health Class will be kicking off their first annual nutrition unit starting April 7th!

 

In class participation is a must!

 

Homework is to maintain that nutrition log, and to bring in food labels to use for in class projects and to decorate the room.

Make sure you hand in your permission slips

 

Have all of your gear ready for class, including a swim cap!!!

GET THOSE PERMISSION SLIPS IN!

Pick up a calorie counting book mark outside of Mr. Casey's room attached to the Bulletin Board.

 

See if the activities you are participating in are buring up those calories.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

 

Pick up your breakfast foldable outside of Mr. Casey's room hanging on the Bulletin Board.

 

 

Excellent Job to all that participated in the Human Body Unit in health class!

 

Your completed human bodies look excellent with all of your attached organs from all of the human bodies systems.

 

 

Students please make sure that you bring you swim gear so you can receive full credit!

 

Deep End certifications are going to be taking place the final two weeks.

-One length of the pool, Front stroke

-One length of the pool, Back Stroke

-Demonstrate anyone of the life saving strokes(Breast, Side, or T-Back Stroke

-Tread Water for one minute

-Touch the bottom of the pool using the feet first entry and the head first entry.

Health Research Project

 

One page essay on one of the following topics to be researched by each student on their own.

 

Mental and Emotional Heatlh(Chapters 3 and 4)

 

Relationships(Chapter 5)

 

Promotion Social Health(Chapter 6)

 

Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention(Chapter 7 and 8)

 

In the essay the student should be able to summarize the chapter and the key points within.

Also the student will be able to demonstrate how their topic relates to health or how it may or may not affect their health.

 

Their topic will be presented to the class.
